Metal 3D Print

A friend of mine wanted to incorporate a map of Småland in his small prestigious clothes brand. He wanted to have this on leather and on wood, so the natural conclusion was a stamp in metal that you can heat up to burn in the wood, taking branding back to its roots. For this my normal Ultimaker would not do the trick, so I went to the supplier Shapeways to print this for him in stainless steel. The outcome was really impressive.

Here is the result, a stamp that can leave a deep mark in leather. The handle is fluted for better grip and to make it easier to remove from a handle when heating it.
